Professional Experience

Traci began her career in 1988 as a Child and Youth Care Worker at Jack Ledger House (Queen Alexandra Centre for Children's Health) on an inpatient psychiatric ward in Victoria. In 1992, she started counselling at-risk youth and their families in the local high school system.

From 1994 to 2006, she worked as a clinician on the Victoria multi-disciplinary child and youth mental health team for the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development.

For over 15 years, Traci has maintained a busy private practice, initially from a home office in Saanich and, since 2023, from her downtown Victoria office in the Centre for Therapy & Counselling.

As part of her private practice, Traci is the long-time operator and clinical director of the CRD Perinatal Counselling Program that serves more than 200 families per year with funding from a local private foundation that is provided through the South Island Primary Care Society.  Traci's work with this perinatal mental health program (including its predecessor postpartum program) began in 1999.

Since 2022, Traci has been volunteering as a clinical supervisor of therapists working for the Vancouver Island Counselling Centre for Immigrants and Refugees (VICCIR).
